The film, Alice in Wonderland also known as Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, is an American – British film in 2010. It was directed by Tim Burton and is completely based on the classic Alice in Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll. Shooting of the film began in May 2008 and was released on March 5, 2010 in the United States. The release date of the film was changed April 21 to April 23 in Brazil. According to the Walt Disney studio, this film is the fifth highest grossing film in the entire film history, surpassing revenue of one billion and 300 million U.S. dollars.
The film consists of Mia Wasikowska as Alice , Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter , Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen .
In the very first week of release, Alice in Wonderland became the most watched film in the United States.
